How to Design Your Perfect Wardrobe in Under a Week!

As a business owner, I have some level of responsibility to make a positive difference in the lives around me. To impact the world with my offerings in a useful, kind and productive way. With everything going on right now, I began to doubt what I could bring to support my creative community in times of need but then it struck me. Now, more than ever, we need creative escape.

There’s a lot going on in our world right now and no two weeks seem to be the same, so with all this chaos, how do we stay grounded?

Do you meditate? Journal? Follow the self help jargon?

For many, sitting quietly for twenty minutes only seems to amplify the mental chatter and stresses. I recognised from an early age that losing myself in my work became my version of mindful escape, this was long before the needed conversation around mental health hit the main stream and educated us on the wonders of mindfulness, meditation and all the other self help guidance we know we should be incorporating into our lives… but do we actually manage to?

Exploring new skills, trying new techniques, designing new ideas - it always consumed me and offered respite from the daily dramas.

Plus, I enjoyed it.

I didn’t have to force myself to settle down in the lotus position for half and hour, I wanted to create.

Let me offer that escapism for you.

Starting Tuesday February 16th I’ll be hosting a monthly 3 day fashion design challenge which will see us answer a creative brief and work through the fun, enjoyable tasks together; resulting in original ideas and concepts that align to our personal style and can influence where we take our sewing projects next.
This is designed for the enjoyment and learning of beginners and advanced alike, I really can’t wait to share the experience with you.

To offer respite in a world of chaos. A safe space to express yourself online through the medium of clothes, to nurture your skill and your wardrobe through the midst of it all so we can emerge empowered and body confident in more positive times. Control what you can, stay safe, keep creative and download your wardrobe.
